My journey as a filmmaker has never been a solo act. Filmmaking to me, has always been about family & the people you trust to dream, create & grow with you.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been working alongside my dad. He stepped away from acting years ago, but I managed to pull him back in and watching him rediscover that spark reminded me why I fell in love with storytelling in the first place.
I started Bloucan Productions in 2018 with a simple goal of making stories that feel personal to me. My first short film '199X', was a family affair, the kind of project where everyone lent a hand and no one cared about the long hours, because we were doing what we loved. It was no different on my first feature 'Straight Edge'.
Since then, we’ve built a creative family, a tight-knit group of friends and relatives who push each other to make something better every time. From short films to features, we’ve grown together, and Bloucan has become more than a company name. We’ve come a long way since 199X, and the best part is the journey’s still just getting started.
